HiStats ("we", "our", or "us") provides a CS2 performance tracking and comparison service built on top of the FACEIT platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

2. Data We Collect

When you use HiStats, we collect the following types of data:

• FACEIT Account Data: When you log in via FACEIT, we access your FACEIT profile information, including your nickname, avatar, country, current ELO, and Faceit level.
• Steam Account Data: If you log in via Steam, we access your Steam profile information (nickname and avatar) for identification purposes.
• Match History: We retrieve your historical match data from FACEIT, including match results, kills, deaths, assists, ADR, KAST, headshot percentage, win/loss records, and MVPs.
• Group Data: Groups you create and the players you add to them are stored to enable comparison features.
• Usage Data: Basic analytics such as which pages you visit and which periods you query.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Displaying your CS2 performance statistics and history.
• Enabling group creation and side-by-side stat comparisons with other players.
• Generating leaderboards and podium rankings within your groups.
• Improving the service and user experience.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections. We retain your match history data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Third-Party Services

HiStats integrates with the following third-party services:

• FACEIT API — for retrieving player profiles and match statistics. Data is accessed via official FACEIT API endpoints and subject to FACEIT's terms.
• Steam OpenID — for optional Steam-based authentication.

6. Cookies

HiStats uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. No tracking cookies or third-party cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect login functionality.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Data Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
